This article outlines how to install a fan on the C-72T, C-168T, C-192T, C-432T, and K-432T platforms.
PROCESS
C-72T and C-168T
- Power down the node and disconnect all cables.
- Loosen the two black thumbscrews on the front of the node and remove the node from the rack.
- To remove the top panel, press the blue button and slide the panel towards the back of the node.
- Disconnect the fan.
- To remove the existing fan, lift it straight up.
- Position the new fan, ensuring that the black rubber pegs align with the enclosure.
- Connect the fan to the board.
- Position the top panel and slide it towards the front of the node, ensuring that the peg underneath aligns with the opening in the enclosure.
- When you finish replacing the fan, install the node back in the rack, tighten the two black thumbscrews, and reconnect all cabling and power to the node.
C-Series 192T and 432T
- Power down the node and disconnect all cables.
- Loosen the two black thumbscrews on the front of the node and remove the node from the rack.
- To remove the top panel, press the blue button and slide the panel towards the back of the node.
- Remove any zip ties or connectors that anchor the fan to adjacent fans or to the board.
- Disconnect the fan from the board.
- To remove the existing fan, lift it straight up.
- Position the new fan, ensuring that the screws are aligned with the enclosure.
- Connect the fan to the board.
- Position the top panel and slide it towards the front of the node, ensuring that the peg underneath is aligned with the opening in the enclosure.
- When you finish replacing the fan, install the node back in the rack, tighten the two black thumbscrews, and reconnect all cabling and power to the node.
RESOLUTION
You can now install a fan on the C-72T, C-168T, C-192T, C-432T, and K-432T platforms.
