C-72T and C-168T LED Guide

This article outlines the locations of LEDs and status indicators for C-72T and C-168T nodes.

DETAILS

The C-72T and C-168T nodes have LED indicators that you can use to diagnose hardware health issues.

FRONT CONTROL PANEL LEDs

The following diagram shows the LEDs on the front panel of the node.

  1. Power Button (🔵 Blue)
    • To power up the node, press the button. When the node is powered up, the LED is on.
    • The power down the node, press the button and hold it for four seconds.
  2. ID Button
    • To identify this node, press the button.
  3. ID LED (🔵 Blue)
    • For the selected unit ID, the LED blinks.
    • When no unit ID is requested, the LED is off.
  4. USB 2.0 Port
  5. Status LED (🟠 Amber)
    • For normal system status, the LED is off.
    • For critical errors, the LED blinks.
  6. LAN 1 LED (🔵 Blue)
    • For normal link, the LED is off.
    • For LAN access, the LED blinks.
  7. LAN 2 LED (🔵 Blue)
    • For normal link, the LED is off.
    • For LAN access, the LED blinks.
  8. HDD Array LED (🟠 Amber)
    • For normal operation, the HDD row LED is off.
    • For a fault, the HDD row LED is on.
    • For predictive failure analysis (PFA) errors, the HDD row LED blinks.

PSU LEDS

Power LED

  • 🟢 Green: Output OK, or PSU warning
  • 🟢 Blinking Green (1 second on, 1 second off): AC present, or only standby output on
  • 🟢 Blinking Green (0.25 second on, 0.25 second off): Sleep status

Status LED

  • 🟠 Amber: Power supply failure or AC present, or only standby outputs on

DRIVE LEDs

Each drive carrier has a 7mm Present or Fault LED that shows each drive's status.

Front SSD LEDs

  • 🔵 Solid Blue: Drive present
  • 🔵 Blinking Blue: Drive locate function
  • 🟠 🔵 Alternating Amber and Blue: Drive Failure
  • ⚪ Off: Empty slot

Drawer HDD LEDs

  • 🔵 Solid Blue: Drive present
  • 🔵 ⚪ Blinking Blue: Drive locate function
  • 🟠 🔵 Alternating Amber and Blue: Drive Failure
  • ⚪ Off: Empty slot

Rear SSD LEDs

SSD_LED.png

  • 🔵 ⚪ Blinking Blue: SSD active
  • ⚪ Off: Slot empty or SSD inactive

RESOLUTION

You can now use the LED indicators to diagnose hardware issues on the C-72T and C-168T platforms.
