K-432T NIC Field Replacement Unit

This article explains how to replace an NIC on a K-432T node.

PROCESS

To Remove the Existing NIC

1. Power down the node and disconnect all cabling from it.
   
   
2. Loosen the two black thumbscrews on the front of the node and pull the node out of the rack.
3. To remove the top panel, press the blue button and slide the panel towards the back of the node.
   
   
4. Locate the NIC in the middle of the PCI card cage and remove the screw from the NIC.
   
   
5. Gently lift the NIC upwards.

To Install the Replacement NIC

1. Install the replacement NIC and secure it with the screw.
2. Install the node back into the rack.
3. Tighten the two black screws.
4. Reconnect all cabling to the node.
5. Power up the node.

RESOLUTION

You can now replace an NIC on a K-432T node.
