Outlines the LED locations and status indicators for Qumulo C-series platforms
REQUIREMENTS
- Qumulo C-series 72T or 168T hardware
DETAILS
Qumulo C-series platforms include several LED indicators which can be used to diagnose health issues with the hardware.
FRONT CONTROL PANEL
The LEDs on the front panel of Qumulo C-series servers can be located using the diagram below:
(1) Power Button (LED Blue): Push button to power the system on or press more than 4 sec. to shut down the system.
- LED on when node has power
(2) ID button: Press to light up / off the ID LED to identify this system
(3) ID LED (LED Blue):
- Blinking, selected unit ID
- Off, no ID requested
(4) USB 2.0 Port: Connects to USB device
(5) Status LED (Amber):
- No LED equates to normal system status
- Blinking, DC off and critical error
- Blinking, DC on and critical error
(6) LAN 1 LED (Blue):
- On, link
- Blinking, LAN access
(7) LAN 2 LED (Blue):
- On, link
- Blinking, LAN access
(8) HDD ARRAY #LED (Amber):
- Off, HDD row # normal
- On, HDD row # fault
- Blinking, Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) error occurs on HDD row #
PSU LEDS
Power LED (Green)
- On: Output OK or Power Supply warning
- Blinking (one second on, one second off): AC present/Only standby output on
- Blinking (.25 second on, .25 second off): Sleep status
Status LED (Amber)
- On: Power Supply Failure or AC present/Only standby outputs on
DRIVE LEDS
Each drive carrier features a 7mm Present/Fault LED that reflects the current status of the drive.
Front SSD LED
- Blue On Continuously: Drive present
- Amber On: Drive Failure
- Off: Empty Slot
Drawer HDD LED
- Blue On Continuously: Drive present
- Amber On: Drive Failure
- Off: Empty Slot
Rear SSD LED
- Blue Blinking: SSD active
- Off: Slot empty or SSD unactive
RESOLUTION
You should now be able to successfully utilize the built in LED indicators to diagnose hardware issues with Qumulo C-series platforms
